I was born and raised in Slovenia, which was then part of Yugoslavia. I finished high school and served my compulsory 15-month army service. Instead of going to university, I found myself working on oil rigs in the Adriatic and Mediterranean for seven years.

The crisis hit the oil industry in the early 90s and, combined with the break up of Yugoslavia, I decided that I should spend my savings on exploring, rather than drinking it all away or waiting for change. The plan was to ride my KLR650 around the Mediterranean, but the Cosmos had other plans. While en route through Turkey, I fell in love and ended up married and in UK for the next 20 years. I never finished the trip around the Mediterranean, but it is still on the list. In the UK, I worked mainly in the research and testing of structures and was involved in various projects around the world.

After a 20-year hiatus in the UK, I returned to Slovenia. I restarted my career, relatively successfully, in various fields. One field that I’m particularly proud of was standup comedy for a couple of years as a second job. I’m hoping that this will be one of the trademarks of my journey. Well, at least I’m not afraid to make a fool of myself.

I have two fabulous grown-up kids, Anja and Jaša, who support me in my silly projects. There is also my wife Janina, who is my rock and best friend. With a bit of luck, we will meet in some fab locations every so often during my travels.

Since I was 16, I have never been bikeless. I’m no expert rider, but I love the freedom and the feeling it gives me. I hate Macadame roads, despise the sand and the mud but fuck it, let’s do it anyway. I hope you will join me.

I was mainly born in Austria and a little bit in China. My parent is KTM, or maybe BMW at this moment in time. I’m being lovingly raised in Slovenia by Aljoša. I haven't finished any schools, but I love exploring and the sound of my Akrapovič.

I have 105 horses within me and lots of cool stuff that you can find in a Gear section. I would love to have even better suspension, as Aljoša is a big lad. Apart from that, I’m ready to R’n’R.
